Warsaw Dentist Hangs Up Drill After 40 Years

Dr. Merlin Eaton will retire from his Warsaw dental practice at the end of November, after nearly 40 years. His associate of four years, Dr. Patrick Lancaster, is taking over the practice and will be bringing on Dr. Brenda Herman as his associate. Dr. Lucas Carpenter, who is a recent dental school graduate and works at Katy Trail, is also working with Dr. Lancaster one day a week.

Dr. Eaton grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City Dental School in 1977. In June of that year he purchased the old Warsaw medical office of Dr. E. L. Rhodes, working on and off all summer on the space. He began seeing patients that October, and continued services in that location until 1998, when he moved to his current facility in the Truman Hills Commercial Building at 1631 Commercial.
