UMKC could soon expand downtown. An anonymous donor gave the university an entire city block just south of the Kauffman Center. It’s the proposed home of a new UMKC downtown campus for the arts.
Students say proximity to the Kauffman Center and the Crossroads Arts District make it the perfect location.
“Being around others who are just as creative it really sparks that energy, it really helps you stay motivated. It helps you get over those rough spots, it helps you keep going,” President of the Student Conservator Association Sarah Carney said. Read more and watch video.
