At the start of a new year, it’s tempting to remember the past year’s most popular stories. But on a recent segment of KCUR-FM‘s Central Standard, the KCUR staff discussed the stories that slipped past most major news outlets.

KCUR News Director Frank Morris, Health Reporter Elana Gordon, and Harvest Public Media multimedia editor Jeremy Bernfeld discussed underreported stories of the year, and how newsworthy events are chosen for air on KCUR.
