Oral health is an often neglected area of overall health. Recent studies have found that many people, especially in the Midwest, aren’t getting regular dental care.

On a recent segment of KCUR-FM’s Central Standard, reporter Elana Gordon talks with Kevin Robertson, executive director of the Kansas Dental Association; and Dr. John Rapley, chair of the Periodontics Department at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Together, they discuss the importance of good dental health and the reasons why many people do not receive dental healthcare.
