School of Dentistry Provides Free Dental Cleanings

The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry ‘s Dental Hygiene students are looking for some perfect mouths.

The perfect mouths in this case haven’t received a dental cleaning in a number of years. UMKC dental hygiene students are hosting patient screenings, including free X-rays, as part of their clinical board examination.

Potential patients must:

  • Be older than 21
  • Be in good health
  • Not wear braces
  • Have most of their teeth
  • Be available for a four-hour session in the morning or afternoon of Monday, May 13 or Tuesday, May 14.

Potential patients who meet the above criteria must schedule a screening session for between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at the School of Dentistry, 650 E. 25th St. To schedule or for more information, call 816-301-4421 or email umkcfreedentalcleaning@gmail.com

Do not attend a screening session if you have severe dental needs requiring immediate attention. The screenings are for dental cleaning only — not for services such as fillings, crowns or extractions. If you are in pain or need immediate dental care, call the Emergency Clinic at 816-235-2100 about becoming a patient of record at The UMKC School of Dentistry.
