Where is UMKC taking you?
I’m a sophomore majoring in business administration. I hope to use the interrogation skills I learned in the Army in marketing research.
Why did you choose UMKC?
I’ll let you guess (holds up hand with a ring on his finger).
What led you to UMKC?
My wife, whom I met on a plane while I was in the Army. She is from Belton, Missouri, and wanted to be closer to her family.
What are your lifelong goals?
I spent more than five years as an Army interrogator in Afghanistan and Iraq, so one goal is to not work with criminals on a day-to-day basis. I’m hoping for an awesome job that pays a lot – in Tahiti would be nice!
What motto do you live by?
Coexist. That’s boiled down from something I heard in philosophy class: Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
What excites you?
Honestly, school and learning excite me. And the idea of moving back to Oregon.
