Kansas City police have identified the man fatally shot by a Rockhurst University security officer as Chandler T. Guinn Jr., 23, of Kansas City. UMKC and Kansas City police and Rockhurst University security responded to the incident near the intersection of 52nd Street and Troost Avenue. UMKC Police immediately stationed officers as a precaution at the nearby Edgar L. and Rheta A. Berkley Child and Family Development Center; however, no children or staff at the center were ever directly threatened. Read more.
