MONDAY, Nov. 2
UMKC Photo Contest Starts. Take your best campus shot! ($5 entrance fee). Lasts all week!
School of Pharmacy. Candy punch. For $1 a try, punch a cup and find out what candy and prizes are inside. Lasts all week!
Provost Office. Daily bingo games with prizes given at end of week. Lasts all week!
Finance and Administration. “Guess the magic number” game – how many pieces of candy are in the jar? $1 fee per guess, winner gets to keep the candy. Lasts all week!
School of Education: Join their 50/50 raffle. Lasts all week!
Human Resources. “Guess the magic number” game – how many pieces of candy are in the jar? $1 fee per guess, winner gets to keep the candy.
School of Nursing: Raffle for a free kids’ birthday party for up to 10 children at GAGE Center, indoor kids play facility and gymnastics center. $140 value.
School of Nursing. Penny drive. Bring in your loose change and donate it to a good cause!
University Advancement. Join in their bingo game.
School of Law: Snack Shack bake sale. All day, ground floor.
Strategic Marketing and Communications. KC Roo coloring contest. $5 to play.
Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. Volleyball games. Registration Fee: $25 and one canned good for the Kangaroo Pantry. Bring 8 of your closest departmental or collaborative friends (9-member team maximum) to enjoy friendly, recreational competition during the noon hour. The team that lets it hit the floor the least will gain divisional bragging rights and a small token of appreciation.
University Libraries: A 50/50 raffle running from Nov. 2-4 with the drawing at 3 pm on Nov. 4.
TUESDAY, Nov. 3
UMKC Where’s the Roo? Contest. Guess where Kasey is in KC in photos posted to UMKC Facebook page.
Student Affairs. Badminton: Registration Fee: $10 and one canned good for the Kangaroo Pantry. Get off of our lawn! Not a chance when you can bring a favorite lawn game to your lunch hour, raise funds for a great cause, and hold the title of ruler of the summer cookout!
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 4
UMKC Spirit Day for United Way. With your donation of $5, you can “dress down” for the day and/or wear your favorite Roo gear. However, if dressing down isn’t an option, you can still donate $5 and proudly wear your Spirit Day sticker! The United Way Campaign designee for your department will be responsible for collecting monies and giving out the stickers. The department with the most “spirit” (highest percentage of staff participation) will win bagels and coffee for their entire department!
School of Medicine: Royals BINGO/trivia game.
Student Affairs. Free Throw Shooting Contest. Registration Fee: $5 and one canned good for the Kangaroo Pantry. Test your skills against the best that SAEM has to offer in an old-fashioned shoot out at high noon!
School of Nursing. Join us on Hospital Hill for yoga from 11-noon. HSB Room 4307. $5 donation.
THURSDAY, Nov. 5
School of Education: Bingo game open to all. Noon in Room 307.
“Roos Celebrate the Royals” hotdog lunch. $5 for dog and chips. Everyone bring sides and desserts. Opens at noon until all the dogs are gone. Plaza Room in the Administration Building.
School of Computing and Engineering. $5 All You Can Eat SCE Faculty and Staff Potluck from 12-1:30 p.m. Prizes for the best dishes.
School of Law. Can you name two of our favorite things that start with the letter “B”? Why it’s BINGO & BBQ, of course. Join us in the Law School Student Lounge for rousing games of Bingo with our own celebrity caller, Dean Ellen Suni. While you play, enjoy sumptuous BBQ courtesy of McGonigle’s Market. Now, you just can’t beat that for a good time. Be there or be square!
