Lewis White Real Estate Center Names New Director

Charles Connely, IV will focus on growing enrollment and enhancing Center’s name recognition

The Lewis White Real Estate Center has appointed Charles C. Connely, IV as its new director, with goals to grow programs and enrollment, and become an even more significant resource to the real estate industry. The Center is part of the Henry W. Bloch School of Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Connely, CCIM, CFP®, CPM®, also is an associate teaching professor in the Department of Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

“We are delighted to have Chuck Connely as part of our team,” said Jeff Hornsby, professor and director of the Regnier Institute. “He brings a level of expertise and knowledge to help increase enrollment and make the Lewis White Real Estate Center the resource for cutting-edge real estate information.”

Connely is on the national board of directors of the CCIM Institute, commercial real estate’s most influential professional organization, and is the 2016 treasurer-elect. He also serves on the board of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Kansas City and the Rehabilitation Institute of KC Foundation.

Connely most recently served as the managing director of EPR Financial Services (subsidiary of EPR Properties) and general manager of Butler Real Estate (subsidiary of Butler Manufacturing Company).

He received his M.B.A. and B.B.A. (with distinction) from UMKC. He is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Georgetown University.

“I am pleased to have been chosen director of the Lewis White Center and look forward to working with the teams here at UMKC,” said Connely. “I have goals to, of course, grow the enrollment in the masters in entrepreneurial real estate program and the undergraduate real estate emphasis program. Also, I want to enhance our community outreach continuing education programs and become the ‘go to’ source for our community through seminars and conferences.”
