Here’s What To Look For

Downtown Kansas City has been decorated with a variety of artwork this summer as part of Art in the Loop, a nonprofit founded in 2004 to commission public art for downtown.

Kati Toivanen, associate dean in the UMKC College of Arts & Sciences and professor in the Art & Art History Department, has her “Petticoat on Petticoat Lane” project on display at 11th and Walnut. It’s designed to bring attention to Kansas City’s garment district. KCUR’s Laura Spencer talked with some of the artists. Read more…
