Jackson County’s plan to fund translational medicine, by the numbers

Jackson County civic leaders today announced a proposal to help fund translational research at Kansas City-area institutions.

The plan calls for a half-cent sales tax that would fund research, development and commercialization of drugs and other treatments. It would also be used to help attract top researchers to the region. Read more
