Crosswalk Updates, Asphalt Patching

Over the next five to six weeks, UMKC Campus Facilities Management will be updating several intersection crosswalks around campus to improve accessibility. Improvement Areas W-Details

Improvement areas include the intersection of Bixby Lane and Cherry Street, Area 1 on the map; the intersection of 51st and Cherry Streets, Area 2 on the map; the intersection of 52nd and Cherry Streets, Area 3 on the map; 50th Terrace mid‐block between Troost Street and Rockhill Road, Area 4 on the map; and the intersection of 51st Street and the entrance drive to Flarsheim Hall and the Old Maintenance Building, Area 5 on the map. Estimated construction dates are on each of the area maps. Contractors have designated a storage area at the north end of Lot 9. Work in Area 3 will be done in two phases to minimize the intersection disruption. Contractor Temp Laydown

Asphalt Patching at Linda Hall Library

Asphalt patching on Cherry Street by the Linda Hall Library will take place on Thursday, July 21. The work includes repair to the curb on the east side of Cherry Street from 51st Street to 52nd Street. The street will not be closed but traffic flow may be affected. The work is expected to be completed the same day, but may be extended or delayed based upon weather conditions.
