The UMKC Community Music and Dance Academy will host the Midwest Honor Band and Orchestra Festival this weekend, bringing students to campus from over 50 schools. Beginning Friday, Feb. 15, over 300 students will come to campus to participate.

Hosted by UMKC Conservatory faculty members Steven D. Davis and Joe Parisi, the festival will offer a full schedule of concerts, master classes, and professional clinics. Noted national and international clinicians will conduct the learning sessions.

More than 300 visiting students are expected for the event.
