UMKC’s weekly arts, sports and culture roundup

Every week, the University of Missouri-Kansas City offers an array of on-campus activities. It’s nothing new. UMKC has a long legacy of hosting countless culturally enriching events. These activities are part of what give UMKC a vibrant campus life, and make UMKC an arts and culture powerhouse. The influence of UMKC-based and UMKC-trained alumni extends well beyond the campus’ edge, so their activities are listed here as well.

                                         Featured event:  Men’s Soccer

Whether you prefer your UMKC soccer matches on a sunny fall day or under the lights in the cool fall air, you have two chances to enjoy a spectacle like this. And it’s all for the low, low price of zero dollars if you bring your student ID. Other patrons pay $5 or $7.

First up are the Bulldogs of Drake University facing off against the Roos at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 20. Then Tuesday evening, September 23, the purple Central Arkansas Bears arrive for a 7 p.m. outing. Both matches will be played at Durwood Soccer Stadium, 5080 Cherry St., Kansas City, Mo.

UMKC is the place for people who are going places. Now get up and go support your team.
