Biking Across Kansas City

Listen to the story here.

The positive health, environmental and even economic impact of biking is well documented.  But safety concerns keep many people off their bikes.  A recent study from the University of British Columbia found that installing bike infrastructure greatly reduces the likelihood of cyclist injury.

On a recent episode of KCUR-FM’s Central Standard, Elizabeth Bejan of Revolve KC; Aaron Bartlett, a bicycle and training coordinator at MARC; and Deb Ridgeway, bicycle/pedestrian coordinator for Kansas City Public Works Department; explore cycling risks in Kansas City and how organizations and the city are working to address them.

KCUR-FM is a service of the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
