Welcome to the homepage for UMKC LGBTQIA Programs & Services. Housed in the Office of Student Involvement, our mission is to provide Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and Ally (LGBTQIA) students with the support, resources, and education needed to become full members of the UMKC campus community and the communities where they live.
Our programs aim to provide students, faculty, and staff with knowledge and resources to challenge and disrupt, homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism on our campus and in our communities. We also seek to foster a safe and inclusive environment on our campus for LGBTQIA students, fulfilling UMKC’s commitment to diversity and inclusion for all students.
I hope this webpage can serve as a resource for you and provide you a glimpse at the many programs and services UMKC provides our LGBTQIA students. Be sure to sign up for our events email listserv, follow us on Facebook or Twitter, Volunteer with our Programs and Services, or feel free to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to know more.
