I have just viewed the entire panel discussion and applaud all of the participants and attendees for doing their very best to open the eyes of the public. Living many states away attending would have been impossible, but I truly believe nearly all of the issues in this case which should have made a different ending were covered.

I do, though, believe from my own research that there were other issues concerning Kent Heitholt and his interaction in previous times may have some interest for the public and the courts. Even though his life should not have ended this way in any logical thought, there are many in the background . The spilling over of this information may increase investigation by people who "just want to know". This is not to incriminate any part of the Heitholt family, but would certainly open some eyes as to how differently it could have gone if the Columbia Police Department had been doing its job.

I personally challenge all of the students attending this panel discussion to look further into this ghastly hole of injustice America carries and help to bring more into the judicial system in the future.

Maybe finally this will be the key into getting Ryan freed. Enough is enough; it is so obvious that he is innocent that no reasonable person can deny it. Wake up, Missouri.

Why is the recanting of the original evidence stated by Erickson (?) and the security guard that Ryan was involved in this murder not considered new evidence? Is his former atty who is now a judge too biased to admit they were wrong? And a BIG thank you to 48 Hours for their continued coverage of Ryan's case. God bless you Ryan for hanging in there. You will get justice. You have to.
