Tips for Registering Online

How do I create a new user account?
In order to register for courses online, you must have an account with Communiversity. Creating an account gives you online access to enroll in classes, view your registration history, change your address and more.
You can go to our Sign up page to create a new account.

What classes do you currently offer?
Go to “Find Classes.” Either browse under the various categories or search the list of classes we currently offer. If you are searching and you put nothing in the fields it will bring up all the classes. You can also view or print the paper version of the catalog which is on the home page.

How do I register for a class?

To register for a course:

1. Logon – log on to the system. Note: if you’re already logged on, this step will be skipped.
2. You can easily add classes you want by finding the class and then clicking on “add to cart.” You may also add friends to the class.
4.Class Fees and Discounts are automatically tallied. If you are a senior citizen please indicate your birth year on your account for the system to tabulate your discounts. If you are a UMKC student, faculty or staff you need to input your Student ID/EMPLID when you create your account. If this information changes you should call the office.
5. If you are registering friends just click on “Register For A Friend.” If your friend is elligable for discounts they will need to create an account and register themselves to receive them.
6.Select Courses – once you have added all the desired courses to your cart, click on “View Cart” to finish the registration process.
8.Make Payment – enter your payment information then click the “Continue” button.
9.Registration Confirmed – the Registration Confirmation page now opens notifying you that you are enrolled in the course(s). A confirmation email with the registration specifics is also sent to your email address. At this time, you can safely log off the system.

***Important Note for those paying by Credit Card

The Wait page will be displayed to you while the system is waiting for credit card approval. DO NOT move away from this page (click your Back button, select another URL, etc.) until the process is completed. If you do, the approval process is aborted and you WILL NOT be enrolled in the course.

Which methods of payment do you accept online?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

What is the cancellation policy if I am unable to attend?
Refunds are not issued unless Communiversity or the Convener cancels the class. Letters of credit can be issued if you cancel 5 working days before the class. Half of the class fee can be credited if you call after 5 working days before the class. No credits are issued if you call after the class. Material fees will be credited only if you cancel 10 working days before a scheduled class.

How do I cancel a registration?
You cannot cancel a registration online. To cancel a registration, you must contact our registration office at 816-235-1407.

What do I do if I’ve lost my User ID?
you must contact our registration office at 816-235-1407.

What do I do if I’ve lost my password?
You can send a request to reset your password at: https://ecommerce.umkc.edu/commu/GetPassword1.aspx. You will need your User ID and Secret Question to reset your password. call 816-235-1407 if you need assistance.

How can I find out what courses I’m registered in?
To see a list of courses in which you are enrolled, simply log in and click on “My Classes.”

Is there another way to register?
•You can call the registration office at 816-235-1407.
• Mail in your registration form found on the inside back page of the catalog.
• Fax a registration to 816-235-1407.
• Stop by the office or come to the “Sign up Party.”
