The UMKC Communications Internship Hub is a blog for driven individuals who wish to kick-start their careers in the communications field through our professional development and internship program. The blog is periodically updated by faculty members of the communication studies department. In addition, students enrolled in CS 447 Interactive and Social Media Advertising are writing for the blog, as well.
Devon Howe, an alumni of UMKC, started the blog and contributed to the success stories.

Our agency provides interpreters and translators in the Kansas City, MO area. We are gearing up to plan for a Healthcare summit in the fall, Sept 25, 2015. I’m looking for an intern with a major in communications/media marketing area to work with me now until the fall. This intern should be expert with flyer, marketing materials leading up to the event. Also, the person we are looking to come in twice a week two hours each day. But we will work with that individual on a flexible schedule.
