Noah Stoker

About

Noah Stoker is a Kansas City-based saxophonist who uses music as a vehicle for building meaningful relationships and storytelling. An advocate for new music, Noah has commissioned and premiered over 20 new works for saxophone, which has led to rewarding collaborations with many young composers across the Midwest. He is a member of the Simian Duo, a contemporary chamber ensemble that shares the same passion for new music. During the summer of 2022, Simian toured the Midwest with a program of six newly commissioned works for saxophone duo, saxophone and piano, and saxophone duo with electronics. Noah is in the final year of his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he studies with Zach Shemon and is the saxophone teacher at the UMKC Conservatory Academy. Outside of music, Noah loves to exercise and follow NBA basketball.
