Dr. Sarah Harmon has a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Missouri Kansas-City
Conservatory which she received under the guidance of Keith Benjamin. She attained her Bachelor’s Degree at Centre College studying with Vince DiMartino, where she toured to Mexico and Greece and won the Centre College Orchestra concerto competition her Sophomore year. She received her Master’s Degree as a graduate assistant at Eastern Kentucky University under the direction of Joseph Van Fleet.

Harmon’s experience in teaching includes private lessons of all ages and skill levels, the brass teaching assistantship for the Interlochen Arts Summer Camp in Michigan, trumpet sectional director at the Taroona High School Camp in Australia, and giving masterclasses as a guest clinician at several high schools, middle schools and elementary schools in the Overland Park and Kansas City areas.

Sarah Harmon is an international trumpet soloist. Her performance experience ranges from small-town Kentucky to Hobart, Tasmania. A worldly performer, she has appeared in Australia, Greece, France, and Mexico as well as in Montana, Georgia, Kentucky, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maine. She is also the president and CEO of the non-profit Harmony Around the World which seeks to develop cultural awareness and peace between different communities across the globe through music.
