Keegan Smeza (she/her) is an Actor, Performance Artist, Comedian, and Trans Woman currently attending the UMKC Conservatory for her MFA in Acting. She grew up in Orange County, California and has spent time in Chicago studying and performing in Theatre, Comedy, and Performance Art. She has a BFA in Theatre Studies with a concentration in Performance from The Theatre School at DePaul University and formerly has studied at The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis where she played Water Polo and Rugby. She was a Diversity Scholar- studying and performing Improv Comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in Los Angeles. Keegan is a Trans Woman and uses She/Her/Hers pronouns. She truly believes in the art of theatre as a powerful tool for transformation/self-expression and loves bringing her unique/creative perspective to students, peers, and communities of diverse and inclusive backgrounds as a Teaching Artist with prior experience in Los Angeles and Chicago with various educational and art organizations.
