Event descriptions:

Conducting Rounds – During this time, participants will conduct and receive comments from one of our Kansas City Conducting Symposium clinicians. Each participant will be conducting an octet comprised of UMKC Conservatory students.

Morning discussions/Afternoon lectures – These will feature UMKC faculty members discussing their areas of expertise.  Lecture topics may include music history, wind instrument techniques, or educational philosophy.

Dinner/Happy Hour – Each night, we designate a different local restaurant at which participants are welcome to gather and spend some time networking and getting to know each other. Restaurant locations and maps will be available at program check-in.
