This course is an exploration of materials and concepts used in a variety of modes of three-dimensional expression. Focusing on experimentation and research as integral parts of artistic development, this class will be both process- and product-driven. Working with hand tools, traditional materials, and found or ready-made objects, students will gain the benefits of hands-on experience in expressing their ideas and solving assigned problems. The course fulfills the College of Arts & Sciences’ Humanities requirement.
